Cost Accounting Manager - Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA preferred) with five (5+) years of corporate experience in Inventories and Costing in a manufacturing environment with a thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and practices and a solid exposure to cost matters such as FIFO, lower of cost or market, and valuation reserves. Background in Standard Cost Systems required. Individual will supervise a staff of 3 in the directing and maintenance of the Cost Accounting Department; analyze plant variances, coordinate and reconcile the annual physical inventory; and assist in the review, evaluation, and make/buy decisions for capital expenditures, investments, and improvements. Salary: $54,000 to $62,000 (Raleigh, NC area)
Cost Accounting Supervisor - Four year Accounting degree with 3 years of accounting management experience to supervise a staff of two in the maintenance of the cost accounting system involving analyzing plant variances, prepare Annual Estimate Overhead Study and Cost of Goods model; coordinate and reconcile the annual physical inventory; reconcile monthly production; and perform waste studies on raw and packaging materials. Salary: $48,400 to $62,800 (Central North Carolina)
